About…

My name is Mike Williams and I am a “super” geek. I got my first computer when I was about 15 years old. It was the early 80’s and computers were just starting to become something that most people have heard about.

One of the first companies to reach into the computer market was Commodore. One of the first models they ever sold was called a “Commodore VIC-20.” The computer had 5k of ram and back then, was considered pretty darn cool.

My generation was at the beginning of the computer boom so I was almost instantly fascinated and began a life of programming and learning. A lifestyle that I keep up with to this day.

Along the way, I have become the family “help desk” on all computer issues both Mac and PC. Over 2 years ago, I took a job for a trucking company located in the Northeast region of the US and I moved to Massachusetts. Being away from Pennsylvania and my family greatly reduced my ability to help them with their computer issues.

Since moving away, I had been involved in other projects like podcasting and mostly entertainment on the world wide web. Recently, I made a decision (with the help of a few friends) to leave those projects to pursue other interests. For a couple of weeks, I had been trying to figure out what kind of “niche” a computer geek like myself would have in today’s booming computer market and more importantly, how can I help others.

After a recent visit with my parents, it all became clear to me. A website that focuses on helping people like my parents and anyone else who may need help with a computer issue or problem. Perhaps, even a video thrown in that shows them what I’m talking about?
